As altitude increases, the air pressure drops, leading to lower oxygen levels. This can cause difficulty in breathing, chest compression, and altitude sickness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rei.com\/dam\/altitude_sickness_explained.jpg\" alt=\"Altitude Sickness Explanation\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the late 19th century, the effects of vasoconstriction at high altitudes were studied, resulting in our current understanding that our chest compresses as an outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We now understand that oxygen decreases with increasing altitude. Conversely, the Qur\u2019an portrayed a clear understanding of these studies before any scientific advances, which was not common knowledge at the time.
