In the chapter named Al-Hadeed, meaning Iron, humanity is informed that Allah \u201csent down iron\u201d. Allah speaks about creating many things in the Qur\u2019an and uses the verb \u201cto create\u201d (khalaqa\/\u062e\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0642\u064e) over 184 times, however, when speaking about iron, He decided to specifically state it was \u201csent down\u201d. The words in the Qur\u2019an are very precise so scholars of the past grappled with this verb choice and why it was used as opposed to other verbs such as \u201ccreated iron\u201d or \u201cprovided iron from beneath you\u201d. The formation of iron requires a temperature in the few hundred million degrees Celsius, which cannot be reached on earth nor the sun. Iron can only be produced in stars much larger than the sun known as red giants. The formation of iron in red giants occurs through a series of chemical processes that result in a supernova, which is when most of the star\u2019s atoms become iron atoms. When a star can no longer accommodate the excessive iron levels it eventually explodes, dispersing iron into space. This miraculous detail could not have been known in the 7th century, thus indicating the divine precision of the Qur\u2019an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/firebasestorage.googleapis.com\/v0\/b\/quran-miracles-a.appspot.com\/o\/asteroid-earth.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=12e6aa64-c26a-446a-8f54-a3a97de3cc4c\" alt=\"Asteroid Earth\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These scientific discoveries illustrate iron\u2019s significant role in providing benefit for humanity by facilitating life, thus supporting this verse.
